Fusing his formal music training with the intrinsic style of Sunday worship, Marcus has created a distinctive sound that includes elements of jazz, gospel, and classical music.

Hailing from Seattle, Marcus Petitt (pronounced PET-IT) can hardly recall a time when his life didn’t revolve around music. As a child, Marcus was captivated by the conviction of gospel music and looked to gospel legends, such as Richard Smallwood, Andraé Crouch, and Walter Hawkins, for inspiration. Similar to his role models, it was in the church that he discovered and cultivated his gifts. Over the years, his profound passion for music and the Gospel message developed into a lifestyle that has proved to be extremely rewarding.

Upon graduating from the University of Southern California, where he served as Head Director of the Saved By Grace Gospel Choir, he decided to stay in Los Angeles to pursue his calling. Ready to share his gifts with the world, Marcus formed the dynamic praise & worship ensemble, Eclectic Praise, and has continued to minister throughout Southern California ever since.
